Comprised using the intarsia technique, the Artisan Collection from Orbita is an exemplary mastery of the fine art of wood craftsmanship. This limited edition three rotor winding system is designed by the the artist, Giuseppe Miniero, using the traditional intarsia technique. The "Birth of a New Man" is a watch winding box inspired by Salvador Dali's painting "Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man". The luxurious presentation case of unique beauty and impressive craftsmanship comprised of a variety of exotic woods, fist cut and dyed in various colors, inlaid by hand, and constructed with exceptional quality. The meticulous puzzle-like assembly of these tiny pieces of woods requires many varieties, kiln-dried with colorful lacquered veneers hand finished with no two pieces alike. This design is produced in a Limited Edition Series of 100 pieces, serially numbered and individually signed by the artist.
