Since 1953, the history and development of Glycine have always been connected with the evolution of aircraft and aviation. The F 104 Automatic 48mm watch by Glycine takes its inspiration from the Pilots cockpits aircraft's instruments. Blending modern and classic elements together, this extraordinary model 3932.15AT LB7R impresses by its pure functionality. The 48mm features a highly polished stainless steel case reminiscent of a manual wound pocket watch. A mineral crystal exhibition case back is attached securely by six screws allowing for a full view of the GL 224 movement engraved on Glycine's own specialty ball bearing ruthenium coated oscillating weight. Hours, minutes, seconds and the date window displayed at 3 is easily readable with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.  Conceived like a board instrument, the dial has a sand color with black Arabic numerals and an outer 60 second Scale with luminous dot markers. The sword style Superluminova hands are in the same color as the dial with a black outline . The F 104 model name is embossed in light grey on the lower portion of the dial with the Glycine logo applied on the upper half.  Despite its extraordinary size, the case is ergonomically designed and conforms to any wrist by use of articulating movable lugs. A pyramid-shaped double o-ring crown lends an antique look and touch long missing from today’s fine timepieces. The leather strap is paying homage to the pilots bomber style jackets worn with that same tan color and suede soft touch feel with tan stitching and brass fittings gives this a vintage look with a modern feel.
