Backes & Strauss, is an English company founded in 1789, by business man George Backes & Max Strauss known for the production of high-end, internally flawless diamond encrusted timepieces. The oldest diamond producer in the world and established in 1789 Hanau, Germany, Backes & Strauss, entered into a strategic partnership with the Swiss watchmaker Frank Muller, launching its flagship collections of Regent, Berkeley and Piccadilly watches. Swiss made and manufactured entirely in-house from the Geneva Watchland workshops of Franck Muller. 

Backes & Strauss and Franck Muller are masters of the art and science of their respective crafts; one of diamonds, the other of complications. With over 230 years of diamond expertise, Backes & Strauss has built its reputation among the most prestigious clients worldwide as the experts in polishing and cutting of high-quality diamonds and precision excellence of Swiss watchmaking mastery.
