The Antarctic GMT Collection from the Swiss brand Nivada Grenchen pays tribute to the retro Jet Age of the 1970's original classic timepiece reimagined for today's modern wearer. With contemporary functionality, vintage style and modern esthetics, the Antarctic GMT still maintains the iconic checkered red-and-black GMT hand within a compact 36mm cushion-shaped case. Featuring a bi-colored black and yellow 24-hour internal rotating bezel operated by the crown @2 for a second time zone. Luminous baton shaped hands with iconic same original GMT hand are surrounded by applied faceted luminous indices. Satin amber brown or black dial with date window @3 are easily legible under a retro-style flat acrylic crystal. Powered by Soprod C125 automatic Swiss-made self-winding movement with 42 hour power reserve. Fitted with corrugated screw-down dome shaped crown with 50 meter water resistance rating. This piece comes in several watch band options from stitched calf-skin leather, racing perforated style, rubber tropic textured weave to stainless steel 3-link bracelet or the beads of rice option.
