The Antarctic Spider Collection from the Swiss brand Nivada Grenchen still gets its roots from the original Antarctic timepiece worn by the American Navy Deep Freeze 1 Task Force during their South Pole expeditions. This modern interpretation has a slight twist with an eclectic spiderweb like dial design that brings that same vintage 1950's style with modern elements and esthetics. Housed in a 38mm stainless steel case with three dial color options (silver, black & salmon) on a sunray brushed dial with magnified date window @3. Featuring center front, luminous tipped crosshair spiderweb like design jetting out to applied faceted stick straight vertical indices. Elegant polished silver luminous dauphine style hands with sweep seconds are easily legible under a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Powered by Soprod P024 automatic Swiss-made self-winding movement with 38 hour power reserve. Fitted with corrugated screw-down dome shaped crown with 100 meter water resistance rating to prevent dirt and water intrusion. This piece comes in several watch band options from stitched calf-skin leather, racing perforated style, rubber tropic textured weave to stainless steel 3-link bracelet or the beads of rice option.
