The Super Antarctic Collection is a rendition of the original classic Antarctic timepiece from the Swiss brand Nivada Grenchen. Worn by the American Navy Deep Freeze 1 Task Force during their South Pole expeditions, this modern interpretation brings that same vintage 1950's style with modern elements and esthetics. Housed in a 38mm stainless steel case with a clean simple matte black dial and applied stick indices with V shaped triangle apertures are surrounded by a minutes track on outer dial. Stylish pointed circular lollipop tipped hour hand with sword style minutes and sweep seconds are easily legible under a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Powered by Soprod P024 automatic Swiss-made self-winding movement with 38 hour power reserve. The polished stainless steel case-back pays homage to that first Antarctic trip showcased scene embossed on a gold center medallion fitted with corrugated dome shaped crown with 100 meter water resistance. This piece comes in several watch band options from stitched calf-skin leather, racing perforated style, rubber tropic textured weave to stainless steel 3-link bracelet or the beads of rice option.
