The Underwood story began when Edgardo Rustioni opened his first leather goods workshop in Florence, Italy a century ago. Trained in the traditional age-old art of fine Italian leather making craftsmanship, Mr. Rustioni began designing luxury leather goods inspired by his Tuscan countryside homeland. By 1948, Rustioni acquired a business partner with Englishman Michael Underwood and established a London workshop dedicated to the creation of fine custom-made hunting and riding accessories. In 1990, Alessandro, (Rustioni’s son) honors his fathers memory with a whole new line of high-quality leather products, now made in Italy and known across the world as Underwood (London).

Today, the Underwood (London) brand still uses the same natural vegetable dying process with traditional leather tanning techniques so that each piece is a timeless, quality product. Every item is hand-made and carefully constructed by trained master craftsman with luxurious materials of fine Italian leathers, carbon fibers and exotic woods.
