At the heart of the erotic watch: a hand-wound Soprod P054, adapted to drive the animated case-back mechanism while preserving daily-wear reliability and a clean display on the front. The miniature automaton is connected to the winding system. The ratchet wheel has been re-machined into a cam profile, converting winding action into a vertical motion driving the penguin. Paying Homage to the Original Antarctic Collection With A Twist of Risqué Fun 

The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic is their legacy piece with the signature penguin engraving distinguishes it as part of the Antarctic Collections DNA. The first wrist watch worn in the South Pole curtesy of the U.S. Navy Operation Deepfreeze that commemorates the trip on the case-back of the Antarctic Series.  First introduced in their vintage models inspired by mid-century polar expeditions, remains faithful and a nod to Nivada Grenchens history, linking each watch to the landscapes, symbols, and spirit of exploration that shaped the brands origins. All six models use a modified Soprod P054 (Hand-Wound) movement with a 42 hour power reserve. Wind the watch and watch the action unfold within the see-through exhibition case-back, each case-back is the same on several different style dials. Each dial is set within a 38mm polished and brushed stainless steel case with 12.45 thickness and 20mm lug width. Choose the 3,6,9 version in white, brown, or black matte dial. Each piece has a mix of Arabic and stick/pyramid shaped markers with retro font and the same pointed circular lollipop tipped hand. The salmon and eggshell versions have diamond shaped hands with applied silver Arabic and faceted markers surrounded by a circular minutes track. The two-tone Tuxedo has diamond shaped hands with applied baton shaped markers set within the black minutes track.  All the pieces are equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, hour minutes and seconds functions (Only the tuxedo has a date complication), 100 meter water resistance rating and the specialty Antarctic Erotic insignia in cursive script embossed on the dial front. Each piece comes in several watch band options from stitched calf-skin leather, racing perforated style, rubber tropic textured weave stainless steel 3-link bracelet or the beads of rice option.

Production is not limited by a set number but rather by the number of orders that come in during the pre-order phase. The salmon and eggshell dial will be limited with a one-time production run and available with a new metal mesh bracelet option. Shipping and production time will take up to 3 months once pre-order phase is closed. Part of the proceeds will support penguin conservation in Antarctica, with Nivada partnering with Oceanites to protect a colony of 21,000 penguins.
